A Few Quiet Days

The team has left for the Nan province, Pastor Sayan and Siriporn have left for a conference of some sort in Chiang Mai, Melanie has left to visit home, and the girls likewise. I am not completely alone however, as 6 girls have stayed. Siriporn's sister is is visiting to cook for us and Patty (Pastor Sayan and Siriporn's daughter) is here as well. No one here speaks a word of English. I could have gone with the team, but while I found them to be prodigiously cheerful and friendly (people on mission trips often are you know :)), I felt that one day was too slight an acquaintance to join them. Besides, it will be nice to have a few days to relax and perhaps study more Thai. In short, don't expect anything too grand in way of news until Sunday :).

  1. Haha, have fun Hannah! I'm sure you got along very well with the missionaries, since you are very cheerful too.
P.S. Did you know that Carla Bruni is pregnant? News from the states for you, or rather, France.

  4. Smart decision, I'm sure. Sounds good to not be on the same hectic schedule all the time. Wish I could have mailed you a couple books for fun reading, but I'm sure you're finding a way to relax. Big splash here yesterday with the opening of the new/last Harry P movie. Reviews say it's bleak but good, with excellent 3-D. I want to wait to see it with you, even if you've seen it a couple times by the time I get around to going with you. All the purple Canterbury Bells are blooming in my garden and also 1 pink and 1 white plant. The back yard feels like a secluded paradise!
